E-LINK's LNK-CSFP-10Gxx-10 is a very compact 10Gb/s optical transceiver module for serial optical communication applications at 10Gb/s. It is designed to convert a 10Gb/s serial electrical data stream to 10Gb/s optical output signal, as well as transforming a 10Gb/s optical input signal to 10Gb/s serial electrical data streams. Besides that, its high speed 10Gb/s electrical interface is also fully compliant with SFI specifications.
The SFP+ Module also attains a high level of performance with its 1270 ~ 1610nm CWDM DFB transmitter and a high sensitivity PIN receiver. It promises superior performance for Ethernet applications up to 10km links. On top of that, it is compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR. This module also contains digital diagnostics functions that can be accessed via a 2-wire serial interface specified in SFF-8472.
The transceiver adopts a standard SFP form factor and provides simple plug and play hot pluggability. It allows for easy optical port upgrades, as well as having low EMI emission.
This fiber transceiver is a hot-swappable device that supports a range of bit rates from 9.95 to 11.3 Gb/s. It connects to a Duplex LC connector, and it has a 1270-1610 nm CWDM DFB transmitter as well as a PIN photo-detector for use with single-mode fiber links up to 10km.
The transceiver is also equipped with a 2-wire interface for management, and it is compliant with the SFF 8472 digital diagnostic monitoring interface. It operates on a +3.3V power supply and has a low power consumption of less than 1.5W.
